Shalom by Terry Morehouse
In this fourth book of reflections, you will listen to the stories and meet some of the people who have been a part of the story of one pastor who believed that God had called him to a special task. “God’s Shalom” (Hebrew for peace) has never always been what we might think it should be. It’s deeper, full of surprises, more complex and comprehensive, than our human understanding. Hopefully you will experience glimpses that the author has shared with other people along life’s way, and be touched with God’s peace yourself as you read it.
Terry Morehouse is the author of three other books of reflections, Fellow Travelers, The Road Goes On, and Traveling Home, many of which began as a part of a weekly radio broadcast for Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, in Minneapolis Minnesota. After nearly 27 years and 1378 broadcasts called “Faith Alive” he retired in 2020 from that special ministry. Each of his books has been published by Kirk House Publishers, now in Burnsville, Minnesota.
He has been an ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since 1967.
